I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to create a 4.1/2" x 6.1/2" panel and spritzed with Black Soot and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide sprays on the textured side of the card. I dried and spritzed with water to create that beautiful oxidised look. I inked sections of the Lumberjack background with Black Soot Distress Archival ink and holding the stamp in my hands, stamped randomly on the background.
I inked the Peace sentiment from Christmastime 2 with Versamark and heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold. I inked the stamp again and repeated the process which gave the sentiment more dimension. I inked the Peace On Earth sentiment from Modern Christmas with Versamark ink, stamped on to black card and heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold. I trimmed off Peace and fixed the sentiment in place with Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive.
I sprinkled Stampendous Frantage Chunky White and Aged Black Embossing Enamels on the panel and heated from underneath until melted. I added Ranger Carnation Red Enamel Accents to the holly berries on the stamped images.
I tapped the Versamark ink pad around the edges of the panel, sprinkled with Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold and heat embossed. I added the panel to mats of white and black card and adhered to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
Classic, elegant and traditional and fairly easy to make multiple times if you enlist the help of every stamper's best friend, the Stamp Platform. If I can magic up some extra hours in the day, this may well be this year's special Christmas card for family and friends.
Toodle-oo for now
