Simon Says - Thanks/Thanksgiving

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.  Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

The first challenge of the month means that the Design Team are showcasing products from a certain company/designer and this month it's the turn of AALL&Create and if you have some of their products in your craft stash, we would love to see how you use them.
We are also welcoming  the lovely and super talented Nikki aka Addicted To Art into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven't visited Nikki's blog you are in for a real treat! Please pop by to say 'Hi'
and the theme for this week is...
THANKS/THANKSGIVING
I decorated a gift bag to give to a special friend filled with some of her favourite treats, just to say thank you for her love and friendship, using the beautiful #233 Flower Moments stamp set designed by Tracy Evans for AALL&Create.

I trimmed Kraft Card and Distress Watercolor card to be slightly smaller than the gift bag and tore the edges of the Distress Watercolor Card. I inked the image from #233 Flower Moments with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and stamped twice on the panel, inking only the flower section for the second stamping. I used the watercolour smooshing technique with Peeled Paint and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide inks to add colour to the background, working with a small piece of acetate, enabled me to place the colour exactly where I wanted it.
I continued to add colour until I was happy with the background and applied Ranger Opague Texture Paste through the #39 Stencil Lotza Dotz. I used Simon Says Stamp Bold Thanks die to die-cut the word 5 times from scraps of Distress Watercolor card. I fixed the first die-cut to black card, trimmed around the edge of the letters to create a shadow and fixed the other 4 on top to create dimension. I inked the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Big Thanks Words with Versafine ink, heat embossed with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder and trimmed to create a sentiment strip.
I fixed the sentiments and pink sparkle hearts from my stash in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and adhered the panel to the gift bag.
I smooshed Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink on to my Glass Media Mat and spritzed with water to colour Crinkle Ribbon.

Once dry, I fixed to the handle of the gift bag, tied in a double bow and added a twine double bow.
