Simon Says - Tape It Up

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge BlogThank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
TAPE IT UP
This week's project is a bit of a kill 2 birds with one stone effort, on one hand creating a Christmas card and matching gift bag incorporating Tim Holtz Idea-ology Design Tape for this week's challenge and secondly, firing up the cubbyhole production line and re-stocking the cards and gift bags for my Grandson Brodie's next Christmas Craft Fair Fundraising adventure on the 30th.

Surprise, surprise, I have a LOT of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas Design Tape, so this was a great opportunity to use it. I began by trimming panels of Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red and Neenah Desert Storm card to be slightly smaller than the front of the gift bags and cards. I fixed 3 strips of Design Tape to each panel, fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte. (I didn't want the edges curling up when it came to the next step)
I dusted the panels liberally with an Anti-Static Powder bag, inked the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Believe, an oldie but one of my absolute favourite SSS Christmas sentiment stamp sets, with Versamark, sprinkled with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder and heat set.
I repeated the process with the smaller sentiment from the stamp set (I know, I should have stamped them both together) isn't hindsight a wonderful thing and dusted off the powder from the anti-static bag with a soft cloth.
I die-cut the Kate snowflake from Simon Says Stamp #120 Ultra White card and fixed to the cards and gift bags using Distress Collage Medium Matte. I sprinkled the panels with Stampendous Chunky White Embossing Enamel, heat from underneath and fixed the panels to the bags and cards using Distress Collage Medium Matte.
Quick and easy to make and that's what's important if you're making large batches. I'm rather pleased with how they turned out but will I be feeling as joyful by the time I've got through the pile of gift bags and card blanks and die-cut hundreds of snowflakes.
