Simon Says - Resist It

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
RESIST IT
I made a card dedicated to love using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floral Layering Stencil and Ranger Transparent Matte Texture Paste to create a resist on Distress Watercolor card and I couldn't resist another play with the latest colour to join the Distress Family, the most gorgeous of pinks, Kitsch Flamingo along with Chipped Sapphire.

To create the resist, I masked off the bottom section of a 5" x 7" panel of Distress Watercolor card and applied Ranger Transparent Matte Texture Paste through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floral Layering Stencil.
Once the paste was dry, I spritzed the panel with water, sprayed with Kitsch Flamingo and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Sprays and removed any spray from the texture paste with a soft cloth. I machine stitched around the edges of the resist section.
I stamped the text from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Faded Type randomly on the panel inked with Black Soot Distress Archival and Versamark, heat embossed with Ranger Superfine Detail White Embossing Powder.
I added Sizzix Adhesive Sheets to scraps of Distress Watercolor card
die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Crochet Thinlits twice and fixed to the bottom edge of the resist panel.
I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Kitsch Flamingo and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks, sprinkled randomly with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Embossing Glaze and heat set. I die-cut the shadow section of Simon Says Stamp Love die from Distress Watercolor card, die-cut the word love twice from Distress Watercolor card and once from the coloured scrap and layered to create dimension.
I inked the sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text with Versamark ink, stamped on to a thin strip of Distress Alcohol Ink Cardstock, heat embossed with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder and fixed in place with Sizzix Foam Adhesive.
I die-cut a heart twice from Sizzix Mat Board using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Heartfelt BigZ die, layered to create dimension and covered with a thick(ish) layer of Distress Crackle Texture Paste. Once the paste was dry, I sprayed with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Spray.
I decorated the heart with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Bouquet Findings flowers, lightly coloured with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink using a Distress Detailer Brush.
I added a thin layer of Distress Collage Medium to the flowers on the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Paper Doll, sprinkled with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Embossing Glaze and heat set.
I added a double twine bow to the top of the heart.
To finish I trimmed the panel down to 4.1/2"  6.1/2" and matted on to a 5" x 7" white card blank
