Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Just a little reminder that your kids still have plenty time to join in with the fun at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Summer Vacation Kid's Challenge and you can find all the details on how to enter HERE.
Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
and the theme for this week is...
BACK TO SCHOOL
I created a card with a school theme using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Numbered 3D Texture Fade, Collector and Alphanumeric Theory Thinlits, Stampers Anonymous Focus Layering Stencil, Idea-ology Collector Layers, Baseboard Doll, Ephemera Memoir and Eccentric Remnant Rubs.
I sprayed Uncharted Mariner Distress Spray Stain and Distress Oxide Spray on to an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card, applied Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide ink through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Focus Layering Stencil, embossed using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Numbered 3D Texture Fade and sanded back to reveal the white core.
I added torn strips of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Typeset Collage Paper.I die-cut the rosette ribbon and stars using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Collector Thinlits and the word using Alphanumeric Theory Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card coloured with Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide ink. I die-cut the word 3 times more from Distress Watercolor card, layered to create dimension and sanded to reveal the white core.
I added Idea-ology Eccentric Remnant Rubs to decorate the die-cuts and ephemera.
To finish I matted the panel on to Idea-ology Black KraftStock and fixed to a white card blank.

Beautiful card! So much detail. I love the way the boy rests on the ruler. Very clever.
