Simon Says - Fabulous Florals

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too. Just a little reminder that your kids still have plenty time to join in with the fun at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Summer Vacation Kid's Challenge and you can find all the details on how to enter HERE.

and the theme for this week is...
FABULOUS FLORALS
I was inspired by the bold summer colours in my garden to create a Floral Special Delivery card using the envelope from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Postale Thinlits to hold Idea-ology Pocket Cards, added florals to the background with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floral Layering Stencil and decorated with Idea-ology Botanical Layers and Eccentric Remnant Rubs.

I smooshed the Distress Oxide ink pads on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and laid an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card on to the inks, dried and tapped back in repeatedly to pick up the remaining droplets, always drying between layers.
I applied Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide ink through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floral Layering Stencil using a mini round blending tool.
I die-cut the envelope from Vellum using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Postale Thinlits and folded along the score lines created by the die.
I fixed the envelope to the panel and die-cut through all the layers using the Special Delivery die from Postale.
I fixed card coloured with Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink behind the aperture and fixed the die-cut back in place using Distress Collage Medium. I added Idea-ology Pocket Cards inside the envelope and added a seal from Postale, die-cut from the Candied Apple card to use as a closure for the envelope.
I added Idea-ology Postal Design Tape, Eccentric Remnant Rubs and Botanical Layers fixed in place with foam adhesive to create dimension.
I die-cut the postage stamps from previously coloured Distress Watercolor card using the Postale Thinlits, added remnant rubs and sanded back the edges to reveal the white core.
I die-cut a mini tag from the same Distress Watercolor card using the Collector Thinlits, added a Remnant Rub word, fixed to the Botanical Layers and added a twine bow.
To finish I matted the panel on to Simon Says Lipstick Red cardstock and fixed to a white card blank
