Simon Says - Bit O' Green

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

BIT O' GREEN

I used lots of favourite products to create my Bit O' Green card - Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mr Rabbit, Bundled Sage, Rustic Wilderness and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide inks, Distress Watercolor Pencils, Bakers Twine and Sweet Strawberry Heart Sprinkles.

I inked the Distress Plaid image from Mr Rabbit with Bundled Sage Distress Ink, spritzed with water, stamped randomly over an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card and inked around the edge of the panel using a Distress Mini Round Blending tool. I dried the panel and stamped Mr Rabbit himself, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival.

I coloured the image with Lost Shadow, Bundled Sage, Rustic Wilderness and Spun Sugar Distress Watercolor Pencils using a Detailer Water Brush.

I held the dots and banner stamps in my hand and stamped randomly over the background, inked with Rustic Wilderness and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide inks.

I applied Black Opague Distress Texture Paste through Dotted from Stencil Set 5, one of my favourite Mini Layering Stencils.

Then came an adapt and overcome moment when I smeared the "not yet dry" black texture paste on the right hand side of the panel but another old favourite, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alterations On The Edge Scallops, came to the rescue.

To finish I matted the panel on to Distress Black HeavyStock, added Baker's Twine down the left edge, tied in a bow and added Sweet Strawberry Heart Sprinkles.
