Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
The first challenge of the month is when we feature products from a particular company or brand and this month, we are all using the fabulous products from PaperArtsy. You don't have to use them to join in the challenge but we would love to see what you make with them, if you have them in your stash.
We are also welcoming back the lovely and very talented Ann Chuang as our Designer In The Spotlight. If you haven't visited her blog yet, do pop over because you are in for a real treat.
The theme for this week is...
BRIGHT AND CHEERFUL
I used two of my favourite PaperArtsy mediums, Rusting Powder and Infusions along with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Funky Floral Wreath Thinlits to create a bright and cheerful, waiting for Spring, card.
I placed an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card into a tray and saturated the card with Cider Apple Vinegar (yes you did read that right) using a mini mister bottle. I lightly sprinkled on the PaperArtsy Rusting Powder, spritzed again with the vinegar and set aside to air dry.
This is what the card looks like when dry. I stamped the sentiment from an old PaperArtsy stamp ELB31 on to the panel inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink.
I sprinkled the PaperArtsy Infusions on to panels of Distress Watercolor card and activated by spritzing with water.
I die-cut the wreath from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Funky Floral Wreath Thinlits. I sprinkled Emerald Isle Infusions on to my Glass Media Mat, mixed with Distress Collage Medium and painted on to the die-cut which meant I was able to control the intensity of the colour.
I die-cut the flowers and leaves from the panels coloured with Infusions using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Funky Floral Wreath Thinlits.
I fixed the flowers and leaves in place around the wreath with Distress Collage Medium and foam squares to add dimension. I distressed the edge of the panel with Tim Holtz Paper Distresser and fixed to an A2 Distress Kraft Heavystock card blank.
Why don't you pop over to the Monday Challenge Blog and check out the amazing creations from my very talented Design Team mates and as always you have until Monday 8am Ohio time...1pm UK time...2pm CET to join in with the chance to win a $25 voucher to spend online at Simon Says Stamp
