Simon Says - Lots of Layers

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
LOTS OF LAYERS
I created a collage card with lots of layers using Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Backdrops Volume 5, Large Collage Strips, Serendipity Collage Paper, Postmarked Sticker Book, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Deco Floral Mini Layering Stencil from Set 60, Abstract Florals stamp set die-cut with Simon Says Abstract Florals dies and used Simon Says Graceful Flowers and co-ordinating dies for the sentiment.
I trimmed the paper from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Backdrops Volume 5 to 5" x 7", tore around the edges and fixed to a 5" x 7" white card blank. I added Distress Texture Opaque using a palette knife to add a thin layer of texture.
I trimmed sections from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Large Collage Strips, fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium and applied a layer of Distress Collage Medium on top.
I added shading around the collage pieces using a Walnut Stain Distress Crayon, smudging it out with a damp finger. I also added torn strips of Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Serendipity Collage Paper.
I applied Distress Texture Paste Opaque Crackle through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Deco Floral Mini Layering Stencil from Set 60.
I die-cut Simon Says Abstract Floral dies, placed into my stamping template, stamped the images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Abstract Florals, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink and coloured with Dusty Concord, Wilted Violet and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Watercolor Pencils using a Detailer Waterbrush.

I fixed the die-cut leaf to the card using Distress Collage Collage Medium, the flower popped up on 3D Foam Squares to create dimension and added a twine bow.
I added stamps from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Postmarked Sticker Book to add another layer.
To finish I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Graceful Flowers stamp set from the August Card Kit, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival on to a scrap of the Idea-ology Backdrops Volume 5 paper and die-cut with the Graceful Flowers co-ordinating dies.
