Christmas Stocking Place Name Cards

Hello my friends, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends and before we welcome in 2025, I'm sharing my Christmas Eve "running out of time" craft session to make place name cards for my Boxing Day Party using Simon Says Stamp Stocking Gift Card Holder DieCember 2024 dies which were perfect for these quick and easy last minute makes along with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Holiday Knit Layering Stencil and Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Type Upper Thinlits.

I die-cut the stockings, holly leaves and berries from Simon Says Sage and Schoolhouse Red cardstock and the cuffs, toes and heels from Simon Says White Pawsitively Velvet cardstock.
I pounced White Gesso through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Holiday Knit Layering Stencil using a mini round blending tool.
I shaded the edges of the stockings with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a tiny blending tool and fixed the cuffs, heels and toes in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I added shading to the die-cut holly leaves using Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink and Scorched Timber Distress Ink and fixed the leaves and berries in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I punched a hole in the top of the stockings using my Crop-a-dile, added Red/White Twine and a layer of Glossy Accents to the berries.
I die-cut the letters to spell out the names from Simon Says Sage and Schoolhouse Red cardstock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Type Upper Thinlits, fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium and added a highlight to the berries using a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen.

I'll be back tomorrow to share my favourite makes from 2024.

Simon Says - Cold and Frosty

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
COLD AND FROSTY
I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for a Happy & Healthy 2025. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and we'll be back with a new theme on 6 January. I created a card using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mr Frostie and the co-ordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Festive Wreath and Bold Text Christmas Thinlits and Distress Rock Candy Glitter to add a frosty touch.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4.3/4" x 6.3/4" and coloured using Chipped Sapphire and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide inks.
I die-cut the panel using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text Christmas and fixed tape behind the letters to hold them in place.
I die-cut again twice from Distress Watercolor card and fixed the letters in place with Distress Collage Medium to create dimension.
I inked the snowman image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, stamped on to Distress Watercolor card and die-cut using the co-ordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Festive Wreath from Distress Watercolor card and Simon Says Silver Glitter card, coloured the edges of the white foliage and candles with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide and assembled. I coloured the snowman with Prize Ribbon, Crackling Campfire and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks using a Distress Detailer Brush, fixed to the wreath with Distress Collage Medium and trimmed off the excess. I placed 3D foam squares behind the snowman and candles to add dimension and fixed to the panel. I added the bow die-cut 3 times from Distress Watercolor, coloured the top layer with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink and fixed in place slightly offset.
I stamped the snowflakes from Mr Frostie around the edges of the panel, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne and Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.
I coloured the top half of the die-cut letters with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink using a Distress Detailer Brush and dried. I applied a layer of Distress Collage Medium to each letter and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter to create a frosty look.
I stamped the smallest snowflake from Mr Frostie on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, inked with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink, die-cut with the co-ordinating die, fixed to the foliage on the wreath with a foam square. I coloured the centre with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink, added Distress Collage Medium and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter.
I painted Distress Collage Medium on to the bow, the blue shading on the candles and the snowman's nose and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter.
I added Pink Fresh Studio Starry Sky Ombre Glitter Drops to the centres of the snowflakes and bow and one on the snowman's hat.
To finish I inked the edges with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink and matted the panel on to a 5" x 7" white card blank.

Sending Big Hugs

Happy Friday my friends, I'm sharing a card made with products from Simon Says Stamp To Love release using the Falling In Love Stencil, Circle Sentiments stamp set and Exotic Blooms Wafer Dies. You can check out all the products from the release HERE.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", placed on my Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Craft Tacky Mat, along with the Falling In Love Stencil and ink blended using Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxides and mini round blending tools.
With the stencil still in place, I inked the sentiment stamp from Simon Says Circle Sentiments with Versafine Onyx Black ink and stamped through the stencil repeatedly to create some interest on the background.
I removed the stencil and inked around the edges and lightly over the whole panel with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink.
I used the two hearts from Simon Says Lace Heart to create a frame, die-cut from Distress Watercolor card.
I die-cut Simon Says Exotic Blooms from Distress Watercolor card and coloured with Picked Raspberry/Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks and Simon Says Cabbage and Artichoke Pawsitively Saturated Mini Ink Cubes using Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes.
I stamped the same sentiment I used on the background on to a scrap of Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set and trimmed around the edges with my trusty Tim Holtz Mini Recoil Snips.
I fixed the Lace Heart Frame in place with Distress Collage Medium and inked through the apertures around the frame with a black marker to make it stand out on the background. I added the Exotic Blooms popped up on 3D foam squares, trimmed the sentiment to fit and also attached with 3D foam squares.
I matted the panel on to Distress Black HeavyStock trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank. To finish I added a bow using Lawn Fawn White Hemp Twine.
Have a great weekend whatever you have planned and good luck, if like me, you are still busy with the last minute Christmas shopping and prep.
