What's on My Workdesk Wednesday

Morning everyone and what on earth has happened to summer......nothing but grey skies and rain here since the weekend....fingers crossed it's only a minor blip and we are soon back to warm summery days.....and all this piddly weather has kept me in the cubbyhole...so lots to share this week and today I am joining in the fun again over at WOYWW.   I think that Mr Mojo may eventually be on his way home and 2 days of just having crafty fun  instead of stressing about work stuff has worked wonders for the creative juices.    I am still in Stampin Up mode having fun with the latest goodies that arrived from my lovely bloggy bud....Carol at Crescent Stamping  Why don't you pop over and pay Carol a visit....she is one mega talented crafty lady....you will find lots of gorgeous inspiration for using all the Stampin Up products.

I adore this gorgeous Vintage Vogue stamp set and also the yummy new ink pads....Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede but I have a question for you all......I find no problem whatsoever opening the ink pads but when it comes to closing them....oh dearie me....it drives me to distraction...lots of pulling and pushing backwards and forwards...nails broken and bald patches where my hair used to be.....is it just me because I am definitely challenged at this type of thing....if a shop door says PULL....I usually try to PUSH.....and my sis and I still wet our pants when we remember me trying to get through the turnstile at a very busy New York Subway Station....please tell me that I am not the only one who finds it difficult or what am I doing wrong.
And after all that struggling I usually have to sit down and de-stress with what sits on my desk 24/7...a nice cheery cuppa alongside alcohol free (very important) baby wipes for stamp cleaning and my trusty can't live without rubber scrubber upper to finish the job.  edited to add: just for tina....the black thing is the rubber scrubber.....wipe your stamp with the baby wipe and then place it face down on the rubber scrubber...move it around and it takes all the ink out of the grooves of the stamp.

and yes I did manage to get another card finished.....but must admit...old habits die hard and I couldn't resist throwing in a little bit of Hero Arts and His Lordship Tim....and yet another dilemma.....why does this gorgeous ribbon from Fantastic Ribbons appear to be a perfect match on the actual card but in the photo it looks way off...they say the camera never lies....don't you believe it folks.

I wanted to add some larger polka dots to this paper from the Stamping Up Cottage Wall collection and was too lazy to look out my Hero Arts Big Dots Cling stamp and ink it up.....so here is a little crafty cheat if you are lazy like me or don't own a big dot stamp......use a pencil with a rubber on the end....

press the rubber onto your inkpad and stamp away....simples as the meerkat says

Well you probably need to go and have a cuppa after all that waffling.....me I am off to get stuck into the list of never ending work stuff....wish me luck and I will see you all tomorrow....fingers crossed..  .for sneaky peek Thursday.
Hugs Kath xxx
Edited to add: apologies to all those who tried to visit Carol....put the wrong link up but it's fixed now if you want to pop across and say hello
