The Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge....August

Hi folks...the third Sunday of the month means it's time for you to head over to The Ribbon Girl Blog for this month's colour challenge...crikey it hardly seems any time since the last one...it's that old time flies thing again but there you go...time and tide wait for no man and the colour chosen for this month is...
RED
and don't those cherries look absolutely yummy
I decided to go with my favourite fruit...Summer would not be the same without delicious strawberries...also a chance to play with one of the new stamps that arrived from Penny Black...Homemade and the cute Jam Jar Cards and Die Cut Jam Jar Labels from Craftwork Cards and there's nothing more delicious than a pot of homemade strawberry jam...
Venetian Red Seam Binding...Hemp Twine and this gorgeous flower from the Chantilly Blooms Burgundy Set...
and of course the colour RED always reminds me of Christmas and another favourite Penny Black stamp...Nature's Best
and Tim's gorgeous Festive Berries Distress Ink Pad which just so happens to be a perfect match for the delicious Venetian Red Seam Binding and with a little help from the blending tool...this cute robin was done in no time...
and I couldn't resist a little inky fun with the Ivory Resin Flatback Roses either...
you may have noticed that the card is not my usual 6" x 6" square...well we had a little accidente requiring a bit of chopping...after all the colouring and cutting out of holly leaves...no way was I starting all over again.
As always there is a fabulous prize up for grabs
from our lovely chums at Lili Of The Valley
and the
so time for you to join in the fun....pop over and check out the gorgeous inspiration this month from my fellow teamies and I'll be back tomorrow to share some pics from my fun day at The Papeterie yesterday in the company of the Melt Pot and lots of crafty chums.
Hugs Kath xxx

  19. This would be such a lovely card to give WITH a pot of jam! The only problem is that I only make raspberry jam, (with frozen fruit) - fresh strawberries would never make it into a pot.... Great to see the natures best robin again. I had such fun making cards with this stamp the Christmas before last - time to give him another airing. Thanks for all your inspirational samples Kath. X
