Christmas Ephemera...

Hi folks, if, like me, you love all things Tim Holtz, you, too, have probably amassed a huge collection of  Idea-ology Christmas Ephemera, in my case, dating back to the year dot...
so I set myself a challenge to make a few more boxes of cards for my local charity, using minimal supplies, making the Christmas Ephemera the stars of the show and at the same time, perhaps making a dent in this glorious pile.

I started off by cutting 6 panels slightly smaller than A2 card blanks from the gorgeous Idea-ology Christmas Worn Wallpaper and set out some bits and pieces of Christmas Ephemera. I applied Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink randomly to the panels and edges of some of the Christmas Ephemera and distressed the edges of others with Tim's Paper Distresser.
I machine stitched around the edges of the panels and at this stage, thought they were so beautiful in their own right that I was a little bit reluctant to cover them up.
But, with my mission in mind, I fixed the Ephemera to the panels using Distress Collage Medium Matte, popped some of the elements up on Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive to create dimension, added Ranger Carnation Red Enamel Accents here and there and matted the panels on to A2 card blanks.
Quick and easy cards, done and dusted in a few hours

So the question is...did I manage to make a big dent in that pile.
Well, not as much as I hoped, because there is just so much crammed into these packs and enough left for many more years of Christmas craft projects. Do you think they may be magically multiplying when I'm not looking.
Have fun with your Christmas makes and I'll see you all soon.
Toodle-oo for now
