AALL& Create - Teasel

Hi my friends, I'm sharing a gift bag I made as a sample for the AALL&Create One Day Special Show on Hochanda with the beautiful #239 Teasel stamp set designed by the lovely and very talented Tracy Evans and if you follow my blog, you'll know that I love to decorate plain white gift bags. In my opinion, you can never have enough gift bags, they are so handy to have when you need to send some treats or birthday goodies to family and friends.

I stamped the image on to the panel inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

and used my favourite watercolour smooshing technique with Dusty Concord and  Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks to add quick colouring and working on small sections at a time, I can control where the colours go. It is important to dry between colours so it doesn't end up a strange coloured muddy mess.

I smooshed Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink on to my Glass Media Mat and spritzed with water to create perfectly colour-co-ordinated Crinkle Ribbon.
I inked the number section of the stamp with Versafine Clair Nocturne, stamped on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink and trimmed to create a tag.

I fixed the panel to the bag, added the tag fixed in place with Tim Holtz Mini Foam Adhesive and fixed the Crinkle Ribbon and double twine bow to the handle.

I stamped the sentiment on to scraps of Distress Watercolor card using Versafine Clair Nocturne, trimmed, edged with Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink using a mini round blending tool, fixed in place and used a Sakura Micron Pen to add doodling around the edges.
