Deck The Halls

Hi my friends, today I'm sharing a card I made for the Facebook Live launch of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Chapter 4 dies using Deck The Halls Colorize Thinlits with Idea-ology Classic Metallic 1 and 2 KraftStock. If you missed the Facebook Live, you can check out all the new seasonal dies and inspiring samples over on Tim's blog HERE.

I began by trimming my favourite favourite colour of Classic KraftStock and I'm over the moon that Tim has now released a whole pad, 24 sheets of delicious BLACK, woohoo, no more being mean and hoarding every precious scrap. I can't tell you how many pads I have bought over the years just to replenish my stock of black. But I digress, back to the how-to. I trimmed the paper to measure 5.1/2" square, ran a Versamark ink pad around the edge, sprinkled with Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold and heat set. I then stamped the sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Festive Overlay, inked with Versamark and heat embossed with Antique Gold.
I inked the Music background from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Music and Advert with Black Soot Distress Archival and stamped on to Distress Watercolor card.
Using the Deck The Halls Thinlits, I die-cut the holly leaves from the stamped music paper and black Classic Kraftstock, the garland, bow, berries, stars and snow flurries from Classic Metallic 1 and 2 Kraftstock and Distress Watercolor card.
I add splatters of white gesso and matted the panel on to a 6" square white card blank which I had covered with black Classic KraftStock.

I'm feeling a little shell shocked this morning after checking the calendar for an upcoming appointment. If today is the 22nd of November, it means that Christmas is only 4 weeks and 2 days away.  Mrs Organised is speechless and it's looking very likely that I'll be buying this year's cards and the festive food from my friends at M&S. Who's going to know that I didn't personally prep all the veg and make the gravy with the stock from the turkey carcass.
Enjoy your weekend, whatever you have planned and I'll see you all on Monday to share my DT project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
Toodle-oo for now
Hugs Kath
