Hi my friends, if you watched the Tim Holtz/Ranger Halloween YouTube Live launch, you'll know there are 6 new colours of Distress Mica Stains and Distress Pearl Crayons. If you missed the Live, you can catch up on Tim's YouTube channel HERE or over on Tim's Blog HERE. I'm sharing a card I made using the Distress Mica Stains and if only, the camera could pick up the beautiful mica shimmer from these little bottles of magic.
I began by spritzing Black Soot Distress Spray Stain, Iron Gate and Decayed Distress Mica Stains on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat. I laid the Distress Watercolor card on to the inks, dried and tapped back in repeatedly, drying between layers, until I was happy. I trimmed to create 2 - A2 panels, one of which has been squirreled away in my backgrounds box for later.
I stamped the floral and label images From Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Dearly Departed, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival and the script, inked with Versamark Ink. I sprinkled the images with Simon Says Stamp Clear and White Fine Detail Embossing Powders and heat set.I spritzed Harvest Moon and Wicked Elixir Distress Mica Stains on to my glass Media Mat and painted the images using a Distress Detailer Brush.
I added splatters of Harvest Moon and Burning Ember Distress Mica Stains, flicked on drops of Distress Resist Spray, sprinkled with white detail embossing powder and heat set.
To finish I trimmed the panel to 4" x 3.1/4" matted on to Ranger Alcohol Ink Black Cardstock trimmed to be 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank.New products mean having fun creating swatches
I'll be back soon to share a card created with the new Halloween Pearl Distress Crayons. Have fun with whatever you are making.
Hugs Kath xxx
