Tim Holtz/Ranger - Halloween Distress Mica Crayons

Hi my friends, I'm back to share a card made using some of the new colours of Halloween Distress Mica Crayons from Tim Holtz and Ranger. If you missed the YouTube Live launch, you can catch up with the Live on Tim's YouTube Channel HERE or Tim's Blog HERE. But before I get creative, I always take time out to create the all important colour swatches.

I began by applying a coat of Distress Collage Medium on to a panel of A2 Distress Watercolor card. I scribbled Iron Gate, Burned Ember, Decayed and Wicked Elixir Distress Mica Crayons on to the background and smoothed out and blended the colours with my fingers.
I placed the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Linked Circles Layering Stencil on the panel and used a slightly damp cloth to dab through the stencil randomly to remove colour.
I spritzed Burning Ember Distress Mica Stain on to my Glass Media Mat, tapped the stencil into the stain, laid on to the background and used a cloth to dab over the stencil to transfer the stain.
I stamped the moth from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Specimen and the script from Dearly Departed, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival.
I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4", added splatters of Black Soot Distress Paint, applied Black Soot Distress Crayon around the edges, smoothed out with my fingers and added Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Thoughts Label Stickers.
To finish I matted the panel on to Ranger Alcohol Ink Black cardstock, trimmed to be 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

Have fun with whatever you are making
Hugs Kath xxx
