Hi my friends, I'm back to share the cards I made for the YouTube Live Launch of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Halloween release using Mischievious Thinlits and the fall out Bold Text Halloween letters from yesterday's cards. If you missed the Live, you can always catch up with all the fabulous Thinlits and 3D Texture Fades from the release and check out the amazing projects from the Makers on Tim's YouTube Channel HERE or Tim's Blog HERE.
Yes, as you will see from the photos below, I did fix that wonky "P"
I smooshed Black Soot and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink pads on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and laid 4" x 5.1/4" panels of Distress Watercolor card into the inks, dried and tapped back in to pick up the remaining droplets of ink.
I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text Halloween Thinlits 3 times from Black Alcohol Ink cardstock and used one of the die-cut panels to help align the letters on the background. I then layered up the other letters to create dimension. I repeated this process on the other two background using a different sentiment. A little handy hint - fix the die-cut panel temporarily to your background, apply adhesive to the letters and piece back into the negative space - an easy way to make sure they are aligned and evenly spaced.I fixed the left over letters from yesterday's card on top. I added cobwebs, branches and stars die-cut from the black Alcohol Ink cardstock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Cobweb, Ghost Town and Otis Colorize Thinlits.
I inked The Skeleton script stamp from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Anatomy Chart with Black Soot Distress Archival and stamped randomly over the panels. I die-cut the cats 3 times from Black Alcohol Ink cardstock, layered to create dimension and fixed to the panels using Distress Collage Medium.I added splatters of Fortune Teller and Burning Ember Distress Mica Stains and added bows to the cats using the die-cut from Otis Colorize Thinlits.
To finish, I matted the panels on to Idea-ology BlackOut KraftStock and fixed to A2 white card blanks.
Have fun with whatever you are creating
