Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
and the theme for this week is...
SPRITZ AND SPLATTER
I created a card using Distress Spray Stains, Distress Oxide Spray and Distress Mica Stains for the background, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Wicked Hipsters from the latest Halloween release and Dearly Departed, Idea-ology Typeset Collage Paper and Big Chat Snarky Stickers with extra splatters of Flickering Candlelight Distress Mica Stain.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4.3/4" x 6.3/4", spritzed with Iced Spruce and Rusty Hinge Distress Spray Stain, spritzed with water and dried. I sprayed Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Spray, Flickering Candlelight and Crooked Broomstick Distress Mica Sprays on to the mat on my glass media mat and laid the panel into the inks. I spritzed with water, dried and repeated this process several times until I was happy with the background.
I stamped the image and bow tie from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Wicked Hipsters, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival, on to the panel and painted with Antique Linen and Peeled Paint Distress Paints.
I had left the images in the same place on the lid of my stamp platform, so was able to re-stamp to replace all those amazing details. I added another coat of Antique Linen and Peeled Paint, added shadows with Carved Pumpkin and re-stamped with Black Soot Distress Archival.
I stamped the images on to masking paper and fussy cut.
With the masks in place, I stamped the script sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Dearly Departed, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival.
I added torn strips of Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Typeset Collage Paper fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I trimmed a sentiment from Tim Holtz/ Idea-ology Big Chat Snarky Stickers into smaller phrases, edged with a black marker and fixed to the background with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I sprayed Flickering Candlelight Mica Spray on to my glass media mat and added splatters using a Distress Splatter Brush.
To finish I added Black Soot Distress Paint around the edge of the panel using a Distress Blending Tool and matted on to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
