Hi my friends, I'm sharing the cards I made for the YouTube Live Launch of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Halloween release using Mischievious and Bold Text Halloween Thinlits. I began by smooshing Carved Pumpkin, Rusty Hinge and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide inks on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, used to colour 3 - 4" x 5.1/4" panels of Distress Watercolor card and die-cut the panels using the Bold Text Halloween Thinlits.
I die-cut the cats from Idea-ology BlackOut KraftStock, sanded to reveal the kraft core and Distress Watercolor card using the Mischievious Thinlits. I matted the KraftStock cats on to the Distress Watercolor cats slightly offset to create a highlight and added the heads popped up on foam adhesive.
I die-cut the cobweb, branch and star from Distress Watercolor card using two old favourites, Cobweb and Ghost Town along with Otis Colorize Thinlits and fixed to the panels using Distress Collage Medium.
I added the cats, some popped up on foam adhesive, others tucked in behind the die-cut text and matted the panels on to A2 panels of Idea-ology BlackOut KraftStock.
I added splatters of Flickering Candle Distress Mica Stain and if like me. your bottle is almost empty, the good news is that Tim has hinted that last year's Seasonal Distress Mica Stains will be re-released next year, woohoo thanks Tim and Ranger.
To finish I fixed the panels to A2 white card blanks.
And of course. I had lots of left over letters from die-cutting the Bold Text Halloween Thinlits, so I'll be back tomorrow to share the cards I made so that they didn't go to waste. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you are creating.
