Simon Says - Shake It Up

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

SHAKE IT UP

I created a shaker card with a floral Valentine's Day theme using Tim Holtz/Sizzix BrushStroke Flowers Mini Thinlits and Mosaic 3D Texture Fade from the new Everyday 2023 release and used sentiments from Simon Says Love You Greetings stamp set.

I smooshed Bundled Sage, Speckled Egg and Pumice Stone Distress Oxide inks on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and dragged an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card through the inks, dried and tapped back in to the inks to pick up the remaining droplets. I die-cut an aperture using a nesting circle die, die-cut a frame from Distress Watercolor card using two of the circle dies and fixed in place around the aperture. I fixed Simon Says Acetate behind the aperture and stamped the sentiments from Simon Says Love You Greetings on to the acetate, inked with Stazon Cotton White and on to the bottom of the panel, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink. I fixed Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Foam Tape to the back of the panel and around the aperture and filled the aperture with Sizzix Lovestruck heart sequins and Trinity Stamps Creamy Vanilla Heart and Sweet Strawberry Heart Sprinkles.

I coloured an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card with Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks, spritzed the back of the panel lightly with water and ran through my die-cutting machine using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mosaic 3D Texture Fade, also from the Everyday 2023 collection.

I fixed the panel to the back of the card panel to seal the aperture.

I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix BrushStroke Flowers Mini Thinlits from scraps of Sizzix Surfacez cardstock and assembled.

I arranged the bouquet of flowers and leaves around the aperture. I fixed the leaves in place with Distress Collage Medium and the flowers popped up on Simon Says Foam Squares to create dimension.

To finish I added extra Trinity Stamps Sweet Strawberry Heart Sprinkles and matted the panel on to a white card blank.
