Nemo Me Impune Lacessit...

Hi folks..I do honestly and solemnly swear that this will be the last time I give vent to feelings political...for a while at least but just indulge me one more time while I jump for joy and dance across the ceiling with delight that finally Scotland is free of the shackles of the Labour Party...a bunch of useless Westminster Whipping Boys who achieved nothing during their apathetic domination of Scotland. I'm jubilant beyond words that they've been well and truly kicked in the ass by the amazing "more than we could have ever dreamt of" landslide victory by the SNP...still can't quite believe we now have 56 voices in the UK parliament and it shows the measure of Nicola Sturgeon...devastated by the No vote in the referendum...there were no recriminations...no blame apportioned...she just took it on the chin...rallied the troops and came back fighting...an amazing politician who has won the hearts of Scots everywhere...our modern day Braveheart.
And if you're wondering about today's blog post title...it's Scotland's motto and dates back to the reign of James VI...roughly translated...
"Wha daur meddle wi me"
(Who Dares Meddle With Me)
and Mr Cameron would be wise to bear this in mind...obviously I'm not happy that we're facing another 5 years of a Conservative Government but Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP will make sure he doesn't get an easy ride and ignore the scaremongering about this sudden Celtic invasion...no need to lock your doors and hide under your beds...we're not going to be rampaging over the border brandishing claymores intent on taking over the country...all we've ever wanted was that Scotland should have a voice and politicians we can trust to deal with the issues that affect the everyday lives of each and everyone of us.
And to end this political statement I hand you over to Twitter and what must have been the best tweet of the night..."an astronaut on the International Space Station has returned from the toilet to find an SNP candidate has taken his seat".
And despite the thought of yet another silly o'clock alarm call...the car's packed up and I'm raring to go...looking forward to a fun "definitely no politics" day with my lovely Kath's Klub buddies and I leave you with a little sneaky peek of tomorrow's crafty offering...the sentiment is rather appropriate...don't you think
and last but not least...the news that Fiskarettes UK have a Design Team Call...
and you can find all the details HERE
Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned
Hugs Kath xxx
