Simon Says - Fabulous Fall Mood Board

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

FABULOUS FALL MOOD BOARD

Autumn is definitely one of my favourite seasons of the year so I created a card inspired by the changing colours in my garden using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Layered Plaid and Holiday BrushStroke 3 Thinlits from the recent Holiday/Christmas release and with a change of colour palette these dies are perfect for "any season of the year" cards.

I die-cut 2 layers of the Layered Plaid Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card and coloured with Ripe Persimmon/Mowed Lawn and Antique Linen /Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks by smooshing the ink pads on to my Glass Media Mat and tapping the die-cuts into the inks.

I coloured another 2 panels of Distress Watercolour card with Mowed Lawn/Rustic Wilderness and Ripe Persimmon/Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks and die-cut the flowers and leaves using Tim Holtz/Sizzix BrushStroke 3 Thinlits.

I fixed the Layered Plaid die-cuts to an A2 panel coloured with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink using Distress Collage Medium, assembled the Holiday BrushStroke 3 flowers and leaves and arranged on the panel fixing the leaves in place with Distress Collage Medium and popping the flowers up on foam squares to create dimension.

I fixed Idea-ology Curator Ephemera Snippets in the top corner to create a small collage and added an Idea-ology Theories Quote Chip on top. I spritzed Burning Embers Distress Mica Stain on to my Glass Media Mat and added splatters. To finish I trimmed the panel down slightly and fixed to an A2 white card blank, covered with Idea-ology Black KraftStock.
