Etched Greetings Notecards

Hi my friends, I've fired up the cubbyhole production line to make quick and easy notecards for my favourite charity's Summer Fair using the Delightful Daisies patterned paper, Etched Greetings stamp set from Simon Says June Card Kit and decorated with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Transparent Wings. The kit is still available to buy at time of writing or you can buy individual items from the kit HERE.

I trimmed the Delightful Daisies papers to 4" x 5.1/4" and stamped the floral image and sentiments from Simon Says Etched Greetings, inked with Simon Says Intense Black and Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink.

I fixed the Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Transparent Wings in place with a dot of Ranger Glossy Accents behind the body section and hey presto, before you know I have a pile of panels ready to be matted on to A2 top folding white card blanks.

Sending Love and Hugs

Hi my friends, I'm back to share a card made using products from Simon Says Stamp - Etched Greetings June Card Kit along with Distress Paints, Texture Paste Opaque Crackle and Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Brush Mark Mini Layering Stencil from Set 55. The kit is still available to buy at the time of writing and if you wish you can also purchase individual items from the kit HERE

I trimmed the Delightful Daisies patterned paper included in the kit to 3.3/4" x 5.3/4" and stamped one of the images from the Etched Greetings stamp set, inked with Simon Says Intense Black ink.

I left the panel in my stamping platform and the stamp on the lid and coloured the image with Salvaged Patina and Mustard Seed Distress Paints. I dried the paint and re-stamped the image to redefine the details. 

I repeated the process with the sentiment from Etched Greetings.

I applied the Savaged Patina Distress Paint left on my Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Media Surface Mat through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Brush Mark Mini Layering Stencil from Set 55 using a mini round blending tool.

I stamped the small image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bird Feather randomly on the background inked with Simon Says Intense Black ink. I repeated the stencilling using Distress Texture Opague Crackle, sprinkled with Fossilized Amber Distress Embossing Glaze, heat set when the paste had dried and added splatters of Picket Fence Distress Paint.

I inked the edges of the panel with Ground Espresso Distress ink using a mini round blending tool and fixed to a 4" x 6" white card blank.

Simon Says - Sun, Moon, Stars

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

SUN, MOON, STARS

I chose the sun as the theme for my card, inspired by the recent Summer sunshine. I used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tiny Prints for the background, Sizzix Layered Plaid, Alphanumeric Bulletin and Wildflower Stems 1 Thinlits and Idea-ology Specimen Remnant Rubs to decorate.

I inked the Tiny Prints background stamp with Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks, spritzed with water and stamped on to a 4.3/4" x 6.3/4" panel of Distress Watercolor card.

I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Layered Plaid from Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Vintage Photo Distress ink using the direct to paper technique, trimmed and fixed in diagonal corners using Distress Collage Medium.

I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Bulletin from Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Twisted Citron Distress Spray Stain and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Spray and Brown Idea-ology Classic KraftStock and fixed to the right hand side of the panel.

I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1 Thinlits 6 times from Distress Watercolor card, layered to create dimension, coloured using my Distress Watercolor Pencils palette and a Detailer Brush and added splatters of Ground Espresso from the palette.

I added Idea-ology Specimen Remnant Rubs to the background.

I added the Wildflower Stems die-cuts popped up on small pieces of foam squares.

I fixed Idea-ology Label Letters to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, trimmed and sanded around the edges. Label Letters are now a discontinued product but they have been a favourite of mine and I stocked up, I think I may enough of these little booklets to last me for the rest of my life.

I added splatters of Picket Fence Distress Paint and fixed the panel to a 5" x 7" Distress Kraft HeavyStock card.

Simon Says - So Happy For You Both

Happy Friday my friends, can you believe it's the last week of May already, the weather has definitely warmed up and here's hoping Summer is on it's way. I'm sharing a card I made using the beautiful Peony Background Cling Stamp and So Happy For You Both die from Simon Says Dear Friend release, perfect for a wedding or engagement card. I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", stamped the Peony Background, inked with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder.

I coloured the image using Villainous Potion and Iced Spruce from my Distress Watercolor Pencils palette and a Detailer Brush to create a soft look and added splatters of Villainous Potion.

I die-cut the shadow section of So Happy For You Both from Simon Says Vellum and the words 3 times from Simon Says Matte Gold cardstock.

I layered the words to create dimension, fixed to the vellum panel and added to the card panel, applying small dots of adhesive to the letters on the backside. I added the negative centres from the "O" to create the effect of a gold brad.

I fixed the panel to Simon Says Matte Gold cardstock trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

Simon Says - Love Has No Limits

Hi my friends, I'm sharing a card I made with the Extra Proud stamp set from Simon Says Stamp Dear Friend release along with the Fancy Love die from a previous release. You can find all the products from the Dear Friend release HERE.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and stamped the heart image repeatedly from Simon Says Extra Proud, inked with Simon Says Intense Black ink.

I coloured the hearts using my Distress Watercolor Pencils palette (Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Rustic Wilderness, Prize Ribbon and Villainous Potion) and a Detailer Brush to create a faded out effect and added a wash of Antique Linen around the hearts.

I die cut the Fancy Love shadow from Simon Says Vellum, the word from Distress Watercolor card and coloured with Candied Apple Distress Watercolor Pencil and the Detailer Brush.

I stamped the sentiment from Extra Proud, inked with Simon Says Intense Black, fixed the Fancy Love in place with small pieces of black foam squares and added Trinity Stamps Creamy Vanilla Heart Sprinkles.

To finish I matted the panel on to Distress Black HeavyStock trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an ~A2 white card blank.
