Simon Says - We're Going Round In Circles

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
WE'RE GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES
I can certainly relate to that feeling after the chaos of last week, the bad news is I haven't been able to get my Facebook and Instagram pages back yet but I have created new pages in the meantime and have shared the links at the bottom of this post. I created a framed panel as a reminder not to take things for granted using Tim Holtz Idea-ology Palette Collage Paper, Distress Translucent Grit Paste with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Splotches Layering Stencil, Crazy Cats stamps and Framelits and Idea-ology Mini Marquee Letters.

To create the background, I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 6" and attached strips of Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Palette Collage Paper using Distress Collage Medium.
I applied Distress Translucent Grit Paste through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Splotches Layering Stencil.
Once, the paste had dried, I applied a coat of Distress Collage Medium over the background and coloured using Villianous Potion and Crackling Campfire Distress Crayons, smudging the colours in around the circles with my finger.
I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Crazy Cats Framelits from an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card, placed the panel in my Stamp Platform butted up to the bottom left hand corner, removed the die-cut and placed the matching stamp from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Crazy Cats into the negative space. This is the easiest way to get perfectly stamped die-cuts rather than trying to line up the die with a stamped image.
I picked up the stamp with the lid of the Stamp Platform, inked with Distress Black Soot Distress Archival and purposely left the stamp in the same position on the lid.
I stamped the image again on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card and die-cut the eyes with the matching framelits.
I replaced the die-cut panel back into the same place on the platform and coloured with Ripe Persimmon and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide inks using a Distress Blending Brush. I forgot to photograph this stage, but I re-inked the stamp with Black Soot Distress Archival and stamped over the original stamp to darken and redefine the details.
I added splatters of Distress Resist Spray, sprinkled with Simon Says White Embossing Powder and heat set. I added Tim Holtz Idea-ology Mini Marquee Letters attached with Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and added the cat popped up on foam squares. I coloured the eyes lightly with Twisted Citron Distress Re-inker, applied a coat of Ranger Glossy Accents and used a Sakura Black Glaze Pen to fill in the nose.

To finish I matted the panel with black foam strips on to Distress Black HeavyStock, trimmed to 5" x 7" and placed in a frame.
