Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
The first challenge of the month is when the Design Team feature one particular brand or company and this month, we are all using the fabulous products from Brutus Monroe.
We are also welcoming the lovely and talented Natasha Vacca aka Natashas Colorful Creations as our Designer In The Spotlight for July. If you haven't visited her blog before, pop over, you will be in for a real treat.
The theme for this week is...
SUMMER MOOD BOARD
I created a card inspired by blue skies and the colour of the flowers in my garden using Brutus Monroe Flowering Vine Mixed Media Stencil, Distress Crackle Texture Paste, Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glazes and an Idea-ology Quote Chip Label.
I trimmed one of the Bo Bunny Brighton patterned papers included in Simon Says Happy Flower July Card Kit to 3.1/4" x 5" and fixed to white cardstock. I inked Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bubbles with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink and pressed the panel on to the stamp to transfer the image. I applied Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Focus Mini Layering Stencil from Set 52. I applied Distress Crackle Texture Paste through Brutus Monroe Flowering Vine Mixed Media Stencil, sprinkled with Distress Embossing Glazes and heat set once the paste was dry.
I used Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink Re-inker and a Detailer WaterBrush to add shading around the stencilled sections and added splatters of Picket Fence Distress Paint.
I tapped the Distress Embossing Dabber around the edge of an Idea-ology Quote Chip Label, sprinkled with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Embossing Glaze, heat set and fixed to the panel with foam squares.
To finish, I matted the panel on to a top-folding A2 white card blank and added Trinity Stamps Sweet Strawberry Heart Sprinkles.

ReplyDeleteWhat a nightmare, Kath - I'm so sorry to hear you've been hacked... how did it happen, do you know? I really hope that IG/FB can sort it out for you. I saw the stupid house-winning-bitcoin post on your IG account... I can't work out whether it's better to report it or not report it! I don't want to get you into more trouble with the powers that be, if they think you're the one doing it. On the other hand, maybe if we draw attention to that account, they'll speed up whatever action they are taking. I've temporarily unfollowed it, but as soon as you let us know it's you again, I will be back!! Wishing you all the luck in the world for getting it all back up and running.
