Simon Says - It's Up In The Air

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
IT'S UP IN THE AIR
I created a floral card using lots of favourite Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous products - Abstract Florals/Faded Type stamps and Mini Layering Stencils from Sets 59 and 60. I added a Tim Holtz/Sizzix BrushStroke Butterfly as the It's Up In The Air element and film strips from Vault Picture Show. I finished with a sentiment from Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4.3/4" x 6.3/4" and coloured the background with Lost Shadow and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide inks. I added interest to the background with the Spots and Deco Floral Mini Layering Stencils from Set 59 and 60 using Rusty Hinge and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide inks applied with Distress Tiny Blending Tools.
I stamped the script from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Faded Type randomly on the background, inked with Hickory Smoke Distress Archival ink.
I stamped the flower and leaf from Abstract Florals on to the panel and then on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival, sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.
I coloured the images with Rusty Hinge, Crackling Campfire and Salvaged Patina Distress Watercolor Pencils using a Distress Detail Brush.
I fussy cut the flower and leaf and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium and foam squares under the flower head and added splatters of Black Soot Distress Paint to the background.
I die-cut the film strips from Distress Black HeavyStock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Picture Show Thinlits and brayered with Rusty Hinge and Lost Shadow Distress Paints. I coloured the Idea-ology Ephemera circle with Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide, sprinkled with Rusty Hinge Embossing Glaze and heat set. I fixed the film strips and Idea-ology Organic Layers Ephemera in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix BrushStrokes Butterfly from Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Rusty Hinge and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide inks, added the body die-cut from Distress Black HeavyStock and fixed in place with foam squares to create dimension. Before I added the flower and the butterfly to the panel, I sprinkled them randomly with Rusty Hinge Distress Embossing Glaze and heat set from underneath to add a little texture.
I stamped the sentiment from Tim Holtz/Tiny Text on to a scrap of Distress Black HeavyStock, sprinkled with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder, heat set and fixed in place with foam squares.
To finish I inked around the edge of the panel with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a Distress Tiny Blending Tool, matted the panel on to Distress Black HeavyStock and fixed to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
