Don't all faint...it's a crafty project

Morning folks...yes I can't believe it either but I'm sharing something crafty today and joining in the challenge over at  A Vintage Journeylet's hope it's not a St Swithin's moment, that I haven't jinxed the weather and it's now going to rain for 40 days and 40 nights. I was a bit taken aback that this is in fact Challenge 7 and up to now I've only managed to join in 2 or 3 counting this one which is...
GET SOME TEXTURE
our much loved Professor has shared so many fabulous texture techniques over on his Blog...in Creative Chemistry 101 and 102 and in his three volumes of Compendium of Curiosities so why did I find myself looking at this empty frame and wondering where to start, time to fill my workdesk with lots of TH products and let the old imagination take over...
I started off painting the frame with Antique Linen Distress Paint, sanded it back for a distressed look and applied Rock Candy Distress Crackle...then decorated with Linen Ribbon which I lightened slightly with Picket Fence Paint. "Letters" was created from Alpha Chips...Salvage Stickers and Alpha Parts-Ransom. I used French Industrial Papers for the background...embossed the left hand side with the Postcard Texture Fade sanded back to reveal the white core...followed by a bit of stencilling with Black Soot Distress Ink and Picket Fence Paint...added Wendy Vecchi's fabulous White Embossing Paste through the Harlequin Stencil and covered most of it up with embellishments...as you do...
at last a chance to use those fabulous Letterpress chunky alphabets along with French Industrial Salvage Stickers...Industrious Stickers - Frames and Trims...a Glassine Envelope and my favourite Label Letters...
and I couldn't resist a little bit of glittery texture using Rock Candy Distress Glitter on the hearts and no Tim Holtz project would ever be complete without my favourite...favourite Remnant Rubs.
So while I'm on this crafting roll and my workdesk is covered with all things Tim Holtz...I'm off to have some fun with this month's tag for "12 Tags of 2014"
See you all tomorrow
