I coloured the light areas of the butterflies on the back side of the vellum with a Ranger Inkssentials White Opague Pen...hand stitched the vellum on to the front cover and cut out the large butterfly from the matching Wallflower Paper Stash Pad.
added Kraft Card inserts and a bit of stamping with Hero Arts Stamp Your Story "Time"
adding Remnant Rubs...Tissue Tape...Industrious and Chit Chat Stickers...
sharing a fun way of altering patterned vellum...
I painted Picket Fence Distress Paint onto the back of the leaf stem and Peeled Paint on the large leaves...it's an easy way of highlighting and colouring patterned vellum without losing any of the gorgeous detail on the front.
I'm really happy with how this turned out and can't wait to transform Album No 2 but it won't be today...toodle-oo for now from this anxious...pacing the floor and climbing the walls Momma...I'll be back tomorrow with news of the patient
Hugs Kath xxx

ReplyDeleteThat looks amazing, as mentioned in other comments, each page is a work of art. I want to hold it and flick through those pages and touch them! My mum always said there is nothing like a bit of hard work to take your mind off things, it doesn't always work but at least you will have got some of those horrible chores done. Here's wishing the time would go faster for you and your beloved dog but also to say he will be ok and back soon with his lamp shade on.

Your journal has transformed or "metamorphosed" beautifully just like the pretty butterflies on it. Give Buddy a wee cuddle for me. I know the worry you're going through. Our youngest Lab has gone through numerous surgeries over the past 3 years with suspicious lumps, all caught in time, so thankfully she hasn't needed chemo'.
ReplyDeleteKeeping busy certainly helps put time in, get these jobs done and takes your mind off things a bit.
take care
Alexandra x
Beautiful. Love it Anneke.
ReplyDeleteFur baby is hopefully all well by now. I love this booklet. I have a question...how did you cut the half circle tabs? Or Did the booklet come that way? Thank you. Best crafty wishes in the new year to all. Hugs
