Try To Contain Yourself...

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's Celebrate challenge...we hope you can join us this week too...

and the theme for this week is...
TRY TO CONTAIN YOURSELF
I created an indoor garden using the largest of the set of 4 Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vignette boxes

I started off by applying Distress Collage Medium Matte to the Vignette Box and a panel of white card cut to fit the back of the box...covered them with crinkled Postale Tissue Wrap with a repeat coat of Collage Medium on top. I coloured the panels with Peacock Feathers and Spiced Marmalade Distress Crayons rubbing them in with my fingers to blend and covered the front edges of the box with Dapper Design Tape.
I decorated the back panel before fitting it into the box and started off by die-cutting the Sizzix Tim Holtz Birch Tree Thinlits from white card...coloured with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Crayons and fixed to the panel with 3D foam pads.
I then die cut Wildflowers from white card and card coloured with Black Soot and Spiced Marmalade Distress Crayons and fixed in place with 3D foam pads to build up dimension...
I die-cut the fence using the Sizzix/Tim Holtz On The Edge "On The Fence" die

I added an Idea-ology Pocket Watch Cameo...die cut butterflies coloured with Distress Crayons and stamped with Stampers Anonymous Papillon and added an Idea-ology Memo Pin and Crinkle Ribbon coloured with Spiced Marmalade Distress Spray Stain. I created a small panel from Textured Surfaces Burlap and a piece of card coloured with Peacock Feathers Distress Crayons...added a Typed Token...twine and a Tiny Tattered Florals rose.
I used Letterpress coloured with Picket Fence Distress Paint and Alpha Dice to create the word "Garden"...Tiny Tattered Floral die cuts coloured with the Spiced Marmalade Distress Crayon and added a spider charm from Idea-ology Halloween Adornments and some rolled up twine.
I fixed Tiny Tattered Floral die cuts to memo pins with Glossy Accents and pushed the pins into corks from Idea-ology Vials (hey don't they look like flower pots)...coated the Alpha Dice and bottom of the box with Glossy Accents and sprinkled with Prima Art Basics Mini Art Stones.
and added Pretty Pink Posh sequins to the butterfly...

  19. This is so full of yummy clever details! Your layers make this whole scene really come to life. It is way prettier than my actual garden...which is a little heavy on the weeds at the moment! I'd surely love to stroll through your scene instead! I especially loved the way you mixed the printer's block letter G with the letter cubes to form your sentiment. SO brilliant!
