Distress Minis and Mediums

Happy Easter weekend my friends. There has been exciting news from Tim Holtz and Ranger, Saltwater Taffy, Salvaged Patina, Prize Ribbon and Villainous Potion are now available as a set of Distress Minis, there are 2 new additions to the Distress Mediums Family, Distress Texture Paste Translucent and Distress Crackle Paste Translucent and all Distress Mediums now come with new cohesive labelling. I'm loving the new look which not only makes identification easier but also the addition of the top label which highlights each product and it's individual properties and effects. I would definitely recommend you watch the Live launch on Tim's YouTube Channel HERE or over on his blog HERE.While all the new goodies were on my work desk I decided to have a play, make some backgrounds and turn them into cards.I began by smooshing the mini ink pads on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and placed a 4" x 5.1/4" panel of Distress Watercolor card on to the inks, dried and tapped back into the inks to pick up the remaining droplets until I was happy with the background.I applied Distress Grit Paste Opaque through the Numbered and Linen Mini Layering Stencils from Sets 9 and 22.I added torn strips of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Typeset Collage Paper fixed in place with Distress Collage MediumI added Distress Embossing ink to the Idea-ology Paper Doll Portrait using the Distress Embossing Dabber, sprinkled with Distress Frosted Crystal and heat set. I scribbled Distress Crayons on my Glass Media Mat and coloured using a Distress Detailer Brush.I added Idea-ology Ephemera Curator Snippets and Design Tape Trims and matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.

Have a Happy and Fun Easter Weekend and I'll be back on Monday to share my DT project for Simon Says Monday Challenge.
Hugs Kath xxx
