Penny Black Saturday Challenge...Week 84

Morning folks and once again it's Saturday...time for another challenge over at Penny Black Saturday...don't know about you.....but where does the week minute it's Monday and before you's the weekend again.....big thank you to everyone who joined in last week's challenge and you all rocked Nat's sketches.

The challenge this week is a colour combo.......

And me being me....there is bound to be a saga attached to the card......wasn't happy with any of the cream card or papers in my decided to colour white cardstock with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad....Antique Linen and then overstamp with that gorgeous Penny Black stamp..."Fantasy" inked with SU "Not Quite Navy"...then stamped the delicious Penny Black image "Whispers" with Versamark.... heat embossed with White and then coloured with TH Distress Ink Pad....Faded Jeans.  Stamped image again onto background card...cut out the flowers and popped onto 3D Foam  Pads.....finishing everything off with generous sprinklings of Gold Glamour Dust.    Makes me wonder why I constantly feel the need to stock up with loads of patterned papers.
Sentiment: Craftwork Cards
Ribbon: SU Twill

And we have a fabulous prize this week for one lucky winner
kindly donated by our lovely teamie Carole

Busy busy day today......did I mention I am off to Debbi's Promarker class at Simply Create starting 1.30pm....and isn't it sod's law but lovely boss at Funky Hand will be popping onto our screens at Create and Craft at 12 noon with the launch of  the fabulous "DREAMS COME TRUE" CD I need to have my shower.....get the old face looking half presentable.....dressed and seated before hand so that I can at least watch the first 30-40 minutes.    It only takes about 20 minutes to drive to Alford from here....but if I leave it until the last minute....sure as fate I will end up stuck behind a tractor or the slowest driver on the planet......and I don't want to be late and miss anything.   You make sure you tune in at noon for lots of inspiration.....fabulous demos from Anice and gorgeous samples from all my lovely teamies.
Can't wait to see what you conjure up this week for the colour combo....will be popping over to visit...catch up with you all later with all the gossip from Simply Create....and if you are reading this Anne...I can't possibly start concentrating until I've had a cuppa.
Hugs Kath xxxxx

Kath what a beautiful card, I love it. Is there a tutorial somewhere on colouring backgrounds with distress inks, mine always end up blotchy, how did you do it on this one please?

I know what you mean by too much patterned paper! I always use up my card stock, and try to use my bits and pieces, then the day comes when the only card stock I have is black and white! But I still have a gazillion Pretty patterns left... But there's something about pretty paper!
I love your card, beautifully done! TFS
