Breast Cancer Awareness

I got an e-mail tonight highlighting the fact that the Breast Cancer Website is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to women in need...low income...inner city and minority women in the USA whose awareness of breast cancer and the opportunity for help is often limited. We are fortunate in this country that mammograms are provided for free and perhaps that is something we take for granted....so please go to the site ..it only takes a minute of your time...and click on the pink button (Click Here to Give...It's Free). Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate a mammogram in exchange for advertising. Please pass this along to your friends ...in fact, if you can spare a minute each day...there is no limit on how many times you click.
My thoughts tonight are with my lovely Fiskars Buddy Ann who is scheduled for Breast Cancer surgery tomorrow....sending lots of love and hugs sweet lady. No update on Lorraine today...hopefully her Mum will call me tomorrow and I will have news for you.
It's been a busy crafty day and I am feeling a little shattered.....off to have a nice hot shower and fall into bed...catch up with you all tomorrow.....Sweet dreams everyone......Love Kath xxxxxx

  1. Thanks for the reminder and the link, sometimes we all get sidetracked and need someone like you to pull us back on course. Thoughts and prayers going out to Ann and Lorraine. ~chris

  2. Thanks for the link to the breast cancer website. I have visited myself and have emailed my friends and added the link to my facebook page - a very worthy cause!

Everyone knows someone whos life has been touched by cancer - one of my best male friends has just beaten (hopefully) colon cancer at age 36 and my nan is due to have a tumour removed from her bladder at the end of the month. My aunt (in law)'s mother is dying of cancer which has returned for the 3rd time and this has all happened within the last few weeks, so it has been quite a shock to me to see all this happening around me.

Also, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog - your designs are gorgeous and your posts have such great humour and have me chuckling away even on bad days, so keep up the good work!

    Many thanks
