I'm Back

Well I'm back from my holiday....great week away with the grandkids...weather was a bit mixed but being hardy Scots we put on brave faces and rain jackets and went exploring. It's years since I have been in the Inverness area and I had forgotten how truly spectacular the scenery is..the house we had rented was quite high up overlooking the Beauly Firth and had spectacular views of the Kessock Bridge taking the road north to the Black Isle. I took loads of photos but most of them were too dull.......blurry or down right rubbish...so I only have a few to share of the day we spent at Landmark Adventure Park at Carrbridge.....great day out for the kids and the grandmas and grandads. Buddy loved it until we came across the adventure area - he took fright at the zip slide.....no we didn't ask him to have a go....he just hated the whoooshy noise it made.....so it was back to the car for lots of cuddles and doggie biscuits until he calmed down.

The clan setting off on the Treetop Trail - a wooden walkway which slowly climbs until you are walking at the treetop height through the forest.

Brodie on the climbing wall - 4 years old and no fear
Brodie and his new best friend....the gentle giant Lex about to start work.....he pulls logs through the forest as part of a demonstration of forestry and sawmill work before mechanisation. The guide gave a little talk about Lex and Brodie was hanging on every word and then he engaged the guy in conversation telling him that he was on holiday......"Aviemore" asked the guy "No.....Inverness....but I was at Aviemore last year".....he is 4 going on 64 and as bright as a button...must take after his Grandma.
It's back to reality.....loads of washing......loads of e-mails to answer and loads of bloghopping to do to catch up with all your news so bear with me for a few days until I get back up to speed again. How many days now to Christmas......not enough ....card orders are piling up.......am going to be a busy bee....burning lots of the old midnight oil me thinks.....well off to bed.....isn't it great to come home to your own cosy comfy bed...tomorrow is another day.......love Kath xxxxxxx
